According to the DFG-Guidelines for the Handling of Research Data, research data are data that arise during a research process or are part of the research results. A responsible, open approach to research data contributes significantly to ensuring good scientific practice, promotes transparence and reproducibility of results, and therefore benefits not least the researcher himself.
