Research Data Management Helpdesk

In many areas of science research data are both the basis and result of the scientific work. According to the DFG-Guidelines for the Handling of Research Data, research data are data that arise during a research process or are part of the research results. A responsible, open approach to research data contributes significantly to ensuring good scientific practice, promotes transparence and reproducibility of results, and therefore benefits not least the researcher himself.

 

We offer advice on the following topics:

Our services should meet your demand. Please contact us with any concern or suggestion you may have relating to research data management, regardless of which of the university's departments you belong to or at which point in your academic career you are. We work together closely with the university's computer center and Thuringia's state library, as well as other central service entities of the university, and strive to bring together the right partners.

Information
Scientists at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena can now receive funding for open access publications through the Thüringer Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek (ThULB).

The funding will be available in 2018/19 as part of the nationwide digitization strategy supported by the State of Thuringia and can be accessed via the ThULB.
