Translated from the announcement:

"Wherever personal data is collected, the issue of data protection must be considered. Especially since the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by the European Union, there are unfortunately many uncertainties on the part of those who collect data. What does informed consent look like? What data am I allowed to collect and share? We will explore these questions in the lecture of the series forschungsdaten.info liveExternal link. The focus of the talk is on the publication of personal research data and what steps need to be taken to implement this in a data protection compliant manner. This includes knowing the legal basis, informed consent, and anonymizing data.

Frauke Ziedorn, information scientist and research data management consultant at TIB - Technical Information Library, will provide an overview of data protection. Peter Brettschneider, subject specialist in legal studies, project collaborator bw2FDM and member of the Open Science team at the University of Konstanz, will complement the Q&A session with his legal expertise. At the end of the one-hour event, there will be the opportunity for individual follow-up questions both on the topic and on forschungsdaten.info in general."
