NFDI4Chem and NFDI4BioDiversity will be funded
The Joint Science Conference (GWK) announced today, that nine consortia of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) will be funded in the first round. Among these are two consortia with participation of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena: NFDI4Chem and NFDI4BioDiversity.

As the press office of the Joint Science Conference (GWK) announced today, nine consortia of the National Research Data InfrastructureExternal link (NFDI) will be funded in the first round. Among these are two consortia with participation of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena: NFDI4ChemExternal link (Prof. Christoph Steinbeck) and NFDI4BioDiversityExternal link (Prof. Birgitta König-Ries).
The funding decision was based on the recommendation of the NFDI Expert Committee. In total, 22 consortia applied for funding in the first round of applications. From 2019 to 2028, up to 90 million euros will be provided annually to develop and promote the NFDI.
