In the webinar series of the platform forschungsdaten.info, the question "Who has which rights to research data at a university?" will be addressed on 24.01.2023 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.

Prof. Anne Lauber-Rönsberg (TU Dresden) and Felix Magin (Law Officer, KIM Konstanz) will address the different rights of different status groups at universities (professors, research assistants, PhD students). They will present the complex interplay of copyright law, employment law and good scientific practice in a clear, practical and for laypersons understandable way. After an introduction to the current legal situation, the focus is on use cases. For this purpose, researchers and the community in the field of research data management (RDM) were invited to contribute their own use cases.

The access data for the event can be found on the forschungsdaten.info live website. Registration is not necessary. The webinar will be in German.

forschungsdaten.info is the German-language information portal on RDM. With practical thematic as well as subject-centered articles, the site introduces the topic. In addition, it is dedicated to RDM in German-speaking countries, the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), and practical tips. Editorially, the platform is maintained by a supraregional team of RDM specialists. With the webinar series forschungsdaten.info live, the editorial team would like to intensify the dialog with researchers and the RDM community.
