Winners of the 2023 Fairest Dataset Competition

The two fairest data sets in Thuringia were awarded a prize

The Thuringian Competence Network for Research Data Management (TKFDMExternal link) has awarded the FAIRest Dataset AwardExternal link for the fourth time to the fairest dataset in Thuringia. Due to the high quality of the submitted datasets, there were two first places this year, each with prize money of 2,000 euros.

The winners are: 

Eulzer, Pepe;  Lawonn, Kai (2023) A Dataset of Reconstructed Carotid Bifurcation Lumen and Plaque Models with Centerline TreeExternal link

Tschirschwitz, David;  Klemstein, Franziska;  Stein, Benno;  Rodehorst, Volker (2022) TexBiG Dataset for Analysing Complex Document Layouts in the Digital HumanitiesExternal link 

In both datasets, the FAIR criteria (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) were best implemented. Congratulations to the winners!
